I wasn’t a massive film fan but worked at Blockbusters so got into films and started to come here. Everyone is friendly and happy and enjoying themselves at work.
My typical day involves telephone interviews for new staff before the actual interview and then when they join, I explain every step of the job so they are doing it the Vue way. I’ve been on a course to understand how to train people and use the Personal Skills Record and training pack which is easy and straight forward to use. I don’t just send someone out to do the job, I show them first then they practice so they know how to do their job to the standards we have.
In my role as Training Buddy you need to be patient to deal with all different types of learners and be willing to go the extra mile. We’re hard workers as we’re Customer Assistants and Buddies. I enjoy dealing with different customers all the time plus the benefits – free films, 40% off food and it’s a relaxed friendly environment which is better for the customers.
