I had a friend who worked for Vue who said it was a great friendly environment and I can say it’s not a job you’ll get bored in – it’s exciting and new. I have a computer science degree so enjoy the fact we are Digital – it’s involves everyone and it’s great to learn new things.

First thing in the morning I do the safety walk round and then check emails to make sure there are no changes to the film times. Then I start all the operational things that need to be done – tills, briefing the team on targets for the day in terms of admissions and how to reach our figures. It’s really important to check where we are in the company as well as checking our Customer Satisfaction Index which is direct feedback. We always are looking at how we can improve and getting the team focused.

I used to think mainly students worked at Vue but actually we have people of different ages and cultures so I would say to anyone thinking of joining Vue – apply, definitely. It’s not just about free tickets it’s about the experience you’ll gain and enjoying work too.
