ACT ONE – THE ROLE

As a General Manager you’ll get to take full responsibility for the running of your cinema, ensuring that your management team are fully engaged and committed to working with you to achieve the cinemas business plan and objectives. You’ll also need to make sure they are confident and capable to run the cinema smoothly in your absence.

Additional responsibilities will include, but are not limited to;

  • Driving initiatives to increase admissions and spend per customer
  • Taking on full P&L accountability
  • Leading, motivating and developing the management team, empowering them to make highly commercial decisions whilst also delivering an unforgettable experience to each and every customer
  • Ensured all administration is compliant with legislation, company processes and standards, e.g. Digital, Retail, Stock, Health & Safety, HR
  • Working closely with the Area Manager to write the business plan for your site
  • Delivering various companywide projects

ACT TWO - WHAT SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE DO YOU NEED?

You may be a high performing Manager who is ready to take on their next challenge or an existing General Manager ready to move to a bigger site. Either way, you’ll need to be able to demonstrate:

  • A proven ability in leading teams to deliver objectives and achieve the business plan
  • An efficient use of all resources through planning and management
  • The ability to analyse operational performance against the annual business plan and make recommendations and implement actions
  • Strong communication skills, high personal standards and a good sense of humour are also key

THE FINALE - WHAT WILL YOU GAIN?

This is a fantastic opportunity to take on the role of really owning your own cinema.

You’ll get regular feedback from your Area Manager with clear expectations of what needs to be achieved and the have the opportunity to work with Chiswick Park on companywide projects.

You’ll also be part of the Cinema Managers Incentive Plan (CMIP) which is paid annually. Plus access to life assurance, childcare vouchers, private healthcare and a matched contribution of up to 7.5% in the Vue Pension Plan as well as 33 days holiday.

THE CREDITS - ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

As you may already know, any Duty Manager at Vue is required to hold a personal alcohol licence.
