The Vue brand launched in 2003 with 38 cinemas and since then, the UK circuit has grown to the current 83 cinemas in the UK & Ireland.
Further expansion into Europe began in August 2012 with the acquisition of CinemaxX in Germany, then Multikino in Poland in October 2013 and The Space deal in Italy in November 2014.
Vue is now operating over 1,727 screens across 187 multiplex cinemas in 9 territories and has leading positions in three of the top four cinema markets in Europe; the United Kingdom, Germany and Italy as well as Poland, Denmark, Ireland, Latvia, Lithuania and Taiwan.
